Renee Gunn
Renee’s journey in writing began at the tender age of seven. Her writing style developed from sneaking to read her father’s Playboy magazine articles and indulging in his books by Iceberg Slim and Donald Goines. Renee grew up a loner, feeling invisible in her family of five. As a result, she created a world within her mind that allowed her to fantasize and imagine a place far beyond her own.
Renee’s professional writing career began at the University of Missouri as a staff writer for the University News newspaper. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Missouri and studied social work on the graduate level at Clark Atlanta University. Three titles written by Renee were published prior to her current novel. In 2003, her first novel: Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places was published by an independent publisher. Two of her books published by Zoe Books Llc were removed from publication due to Renee no longer feeling pleased with the work. Renee’s journey to quality writing has expanded over twenty years. She is finally at a place where she is confident to share her imagination with the world.

Hello everyone! You are seeing this preview of our books first, before we release this update to all social media platforms! We received sample books in August prior to going on vacation. I was pleased with the overall outcome; except for a few issues I found with our printer. I used a company located outside of the US to print our books to cut cost. I was not pleased when I discovered my manuscript was over 700 pages! I must admit I was impressed due to the fact that my 1st novel was barely 224 pages!!! A writer worth his or her salt has a page length of at least 400 pages. It took time to restructure the manuscript. Our current novel is currently 604 pages. Our books will be available for purchase in November, if God is willing. Our audiobook & podcast will be released soon. We are excited to share & discuss this highly anticipated novel with each & every one of you! Thanks for your patience. Stay tuned!!!

We have a special event planned for people in the Atlanta area! I felt alone after losing my husband. Family members turned their backs. It was a painful, dismal time in my life. If it had not been for the Lord, my daughter, and my customers, I don’t know where I would be. God gave me the strength to rise above the miry clay to prosper my business. He taught me to forgive to overcome resentment. I am grateful my beloved husband left me a business to provide for myself in his absence.
Our in person events are candid and revealing. I will not hold anything back. I am about healing and letting go of past trauma, resentment, and regret. Some uncomfortable revelations must be exposed through the process of healing. We will delve deep into the synopsis of the book, the inspiration for the book, and we will open the discussion to our guests who may have questions.
